Maid Cafe NY is a theme café, offering unique Japanese food, sweets, drink and merchandise served by professionally trained servers dressed in cute maid outfits in a fashionable Japanese pop setting. NostalJunk in the Trunk -- Chibi-Robo Photo Finder with StreetPass NYC

Facebook Event: https://www.facebook.com/events/648984171827025/

Meet-Up Page: http://www.meetup.com/Nintendo3DS/Bronx-NY/1083542/

Google+ Event: https://plus.google.com/events/ccjtdni6gamaobr55kutpcqevp8

Directions:   D, B, 4  Train to 167th Street Station or 4 Train to 161 Street/Yankee Stadium

Location: The Bronx Museum of the Arts (
1040 Grand Concourse, Bronx, New York 10456)

Date: January 26st, Sunday

Event Time: 12:00 NOON - 4:00 PM

Chibi-Robo, an icon from the GameCube era, is back in the Nintendo 3DS & 2DS eShop game "Chibi-Robo Photo Finder" out on January 9th! Chibi-Robo is trying to curate a museum with various NostalJunk items and the best way we think we can do this is to steal-er-photograph some objects from another museum (the Bronx Museum of the Arts to be exact) with it's own NostalJunk display.

Transportation info here: http://www.bronxmuseum.org/visit

A comprehensive survey of the works of American sculptor Tony Feher, this exhibition features key artworks that use everyday objects and found materials in a post-minimalist aesthetic, displaying the richness and complexity of Feher’s investigations. The exhibition is accompanied by a fully illustrated monograph and reveals Feher's very personal vocabulary developed and refined over the past decades. Organized by Claudia Schmuckli, Director and Chief Curator of Blaffer Art Museum at the University of Houston.

Exhibit info here: http://www.bronxmuseum.org/exhibitions/tony-feher

Use the Nintendo 3DS Camera to look for everyday objects in the sculptures that match the shapes in your silhouette film, and then start snapping pics. Depending on how well a real-world item’s shape fits the silhouette, it may qualify as first-rate NostalJunk!

Join us, just don't run out of power. You are a robot after all...

National StreetPass Weekend Meet Up with StreeetPass NYC

Location: Barnes & Nobel Union Square (33 East 17th Street New York, NY 10003)

Date: December 15st, Sunday

Event Time: 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM

National StreetPass Weekend for New York City will take place on December 15 at the Barnes & Noble at Union Square!

Join us on the third floor cafe as we collect StreetPass tags, experience Nintendo zone, play Nintendo 3DS multiplayer games such as Pokemon X & Pokemon Y, Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon and Mario Party Island Tour and more! Plus we may have a limited number of "premium swag" that we will share with those that attend the meetup.

During this weekend, all the Nintendo Zones in North America will be put together and mixed around so that users have the opportunity to StreetPass with people from different parts of the country.

The existing StreetPass feature allows players to StreetPass only with those within their vicinity. During National StreetPass Weekend, when players enter one of 29,000 Nintendo Zones, they will be connected with other 3DS users from all around North America.

Nintendo Zones have StreetPass relay points, so when a 3DS user gets near a Nintendo Zone, their StreetPass data is automatically forwarded to Nintendo servers, which temporarily store it before passing it onto the next 3DS user who enters that Zone. This feature, which was announced earlier this year, aims to allow players to find more Miis in their StreetPass Mii Plaza.

While connected over Nintendo Zone, users will be able to watch 3D videos, full-length animations, play demos and find retailer promotions and coupons.
More information about National StreetPass Weekend, including how to find your nearest Nintendo Zone, can be found at http://www.nintendo.com/3ds/nintendozone

With no entry fee or age limit, you don't want to miss this!

==Yankee Swap Rules==

Everyone who participates brings in one wrapped gift. (We will only take wrapped gifts to protect the anonymity of the gift) They will be placed in a central location, and the participants will determine the order they will take turns selecting them. For all of the participants, we will assign them a number to determine who goes first. First person opens a wrapped gift that isn't their own, and opens it for everyone to see. The next person chooses a gift, then opens it, and must decide whether to keep it, or swap it for the first player's gift. Every participant in order gets to select a gift, open it, and decide whether they would like to swap it , or keep it. After all of the gifts are chosen, the person who chose their gift first now has the option to swap or keep the gift, and the game is over.

The price range for the wrapped gifts are between $15 minimum and $30 maximum. Gifts that are excluded from the Yankee Swap are T-shirts and Gift cards of any kind (this includes Nintendo e-shop cards). It's recommended that you bring your gifts wrapped.
